About the RYA Day Skipper Theory Course
The RYA Day Skipper Theory course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of navigation, safety, and seamanship at sea. In addition to theoretical knowledge, you will also learn practical skills such as chart plotting, the use of electronic navigation equipment, and the calculation of tidal heights and tidal streams. The course includes exercises and assessments to test your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered.
This is an intensive week for students, with 8 hours of instruction and practical training sessions per day. As a training centre, we have ensured that students will always have the weekend free after this course. This way, we have some extra days available If there is a need to rewrite exams or if students require some extra instruction time.
This 5-day course covers many different topics, including:
